Procter & Gamble confirmed it will be building a distribution center in Union, Ohio, which is one of the largest development projects in ten years for the Dayton region.

Located northwest of Dayton, the $89 million, 1 million-square-foot facility will create 800 new jobs – and help boost the local economy. It is expected to open next February. Nearly all of the new workers will be with third-party vendors.

“This new distribution center is part of a significant supply chain transformation in North America that will dramatically innovate the way we supply our customers,” said Yannis Skoufalos, P&G’s global product supply officer.
